The Powershot A560, successor to the Powershot A540, marks the arrival of AiAF face detection and out-of-this-world sensitivity to the famous A-line of Powershot cameras from Canon! Weighing 20 grams less than its predecessor, the A560 has kept the same compact casing but has added some new and improved Canon-exclusive technical functions. The Powershot A560 uses the same DIGIC III image processor as its predecessor for more detailed shots, and it has an AiAF face detection mode, which is able to recognise up to 9 faces in a single photo, highlight all of your friends' and family's faces and correct shadows or reflections. In addition to its 7 megapixel sensor and 2.5” TFT screen, the Powershot A560 has several scene and colour modes, such as sepia, indoors, landscape, night, and underwater. Plus, the ISO 1600 sensitivity ensures excellent pictures even in low lighting conditions. Thanks to its in-built flash you’ll be able to take all kinds of photos without blinding your subjects. You can use the red-eye reduction function to improve the quality of your photos, and even record up to 1 hour of video in resolutions of up to 640 x 640 at 30 fps thanks to its SDHC compatibility.
